“Shoot the Piano Player” A Hit!

This past Sunday, Shoot the Piano Player was screened as part of the MCTV/Town Hall Theater French New Wave film series. Audience response was great, and the series is prompting audience members to do their own further research on the films and the French New Wave.

Did you know that Truffaut wanted to make a film that nobody would like? Our Middlebury audience’s verdict: he didn’t succeed!

French New Wave Film Series

The first annual MCTV/Town Hall Theater Film Series began this Sunday with Jean Renoir’s Rules of the Game. This coming Sunday, June 21st, watch Francois Truffaut’s Shoot the Piano Player. The final film of the series is Agnes Varda’s Cleo from 5 to 7, Sunday, June 28th.

Lights, Camera, Action I

June 16, 2009

Lights, Camera, Action I begins on June 29th and will run through July 3rd. Students will create TV shows, learn stop-motion animation, and make a short narrative. The class will be taught by Nikki Morse and Jill Vickers.

Lights, Camera, Action classes are held through the Rec Department of Middlebury, Vermont. Lights, Camera, Action: History Comes Alive! will be held in July (27th-31st) and Lights, Camera, Action II will be held in August (17th-21st).
